Growing up

Emma is changing so fast! She is starting to sit up, and she rolls to her tummy the second you set her on the floor. She has to see what is going on all the time. She is such a happy baby and quick to smile and laugh (especially for her brothers.) We love her so much!

Every year we are buried in leaves. Our month of November is spend in the yard raking. We are so happy to have finally sent the last bag to the dump! Now we are ready for snow.:)

Welcome Home Hermana Bowen!

Last Tuesday, my sister Kate came home from her mission in Chile. We are so proud of her, but we sure missed having her around and are so happy to have her home.

Waiting for her to come off the plane seemed to take forever. The kids were patient, but very excited.
Here she comes!

Kate came home bearing gifts. My dad is sporting his new soccer jersey.

The boys all got new Chilean hats. I don't know why I don't have a picture with all the boys, but Mack and Spencer were sure excited to pose. Kate was a fantastic missionary and the people in Chile are going to miss her, but we are sure excited to have her home!

Fall Break

For Fall Break we decided to travel up to Boise and visit Jared, Trina and boys. We had a great time at the zoo, swimming, riding a train, and going on a bike ride along the Boise River. The best part was watching the kids play and spending time with family.

Train Ride to the pumpkin patch
It was amazing to see 10 bikes and 2 trailers fit in the back of Jared's truck! Anywhere we go, we make quite a site. It was a great weekend. Thanks J,T and family for having us.

Funny Faces

Emma loves to smile, but lately she has started sucking her bottom lip under and making this silly face. We aren't sure if she is getting teeth, or if she just knows it will make her brothers laugh. Whatever the reason, she sure keeps us entertained!

Soccer, Soccer,and more Soccer

We finally finished soccer season for the fall. It was a little crazy trying to juggle three different boy's games and practices, but somehow things always work out. We had a little help from neighbors and grandparents to get everyone where they needed to be. The weather was actually very nice this year and we never had to spend a game in the car. Emma and Spencer have become experts at sitting through game after game. Erik and I really had fun watching the boys play this year and are actually looking forward to the spring.

Emma watched most of the games from the comfort of her car seat.

This is Jaxson after his last game. He has always played defender, but had the chance to play forward this year and loved it. He scored a goal in almost every game.

We had a few chilly games, and Spencer was a good sport to stay bundled up under blankets.

Cameron played goalie most of the season and really liked it. (Even though it made his mom very nervous!)

Dallin had great team this season and loved playing. He is already asking how many months until spring.

September Birthdays

September is a busy month for birthdays in our family. Spencer kicks us off on the 1st. He turned 3 this year and is growing up so fast!
He chose pizza for his birthday dinner (since that is about all he will eat.) It gets a little messy, but the boys love making their own pizzas.
Spencer is obsessed with cars, so we make a race track cake.
Grandma and Grandpa gave him a new BYU cougar sweatshirt and he is ready for football season.
We had a combined birthday party at my mom and dad's house for Spencer, Dallin, my sister-in-law Katie, my grandparents, and my cousin's little boy Simon (sorry I can't find Simon's picture.) They all got to wear the special birthday glasses and sit in the birthday chair.
Dallin's 6th birthday is today. It is a little crazy to celebrate on a school day, but we had a yummy breakfast of crumb cake cupcakes and he got to bring a birthday basket to class and tell about himself. We are having his "Late Night" birthday party with his friends tomorrow.
Happy Birthday!

Back to School

I know this is way behind, but I thought I would share a few first day of school pictures.

Cameron- 2nd grade

Jaxson- 5th grade
Spencer is enjoying having time on his own. (Emma dosen't really count) We spent one day at Thanksgiving Point with Grandma Tadje. He loved having grandma all to himself!
