This is the Place

We decided to stay home over UEA this year, so a little field trip was in order. We went up to "This is the Place" park with my mom, grandma, Kellie and Mack. It was all decorated for Halloween, and they had fun trick-or-treating for the kids. They also had all sorts of crafts and fun things for the kids to make. The boys dipped candles, rode horses, got their faces painted, walked through the "haunted" forest, and got to ride on the big and little train. We were lucky to have such beautiful fall weather. We were getting ready to come home and Jaxson said, "Wow! I can't believe it has been 4 hours. It seems like we just got here." That tells me they had a good time!

Remodel

Yeah! We are almost done. Our little project to remodel the upstairs bathroom turned into a bigger project of refinishing the kitchen cabinets and knocking out a wall in the entryway. We started back in July, and it has been crazy living out of our basement. Besides a few knobs and cabinets that are still being finished, (and painting!) we are almost done and back to normal.

These are a few pictures of the kitchen and bathroom before we started.

These are a few of the after pictures.

Happy Birthday Spencer & Dallin

Here we are in October and I have yet to write anything about our two September birthday boys. We were lucky to be able to celebrate Spencer's 2nd birthday up in Boise. Trina was so cute to make him special birthday pancakes. I have a darling video, but I have still not figured out how to get our videos to load. He also got to have two fun parties at his grandma's houses. Dallin turned 5 on the 17th and we are so proud of him. He is very obsessed with BYU right now, so he got some fun things to show off his "Cougar Pride!" He also got a brand new bike that is more his size. We were able to celebrate at Kangaroo Zoo with some of his cousins. It was a fun month!

Cousins!!

We have had so much fun playing with all the Tadje cousins this past month. It gets a little crazy with so many kids, but it is so worth it! At some point over the past two months we have seen everyone in the family, which is really rare being spread all over. We were able to do so many fun activities, and we thank Grandma Tadje for all the work of putting things together. (not easy with so many people!)

We hiked Timp cave and all the kids did great!

Spencer and Sarah were a little tired by the end.

Sarah and I took our boys and Isaac and Joe over to Thanksgiving Point. We were a little nervous it would rain, but it turned out to be a wonderful day to see the gardens. (We had to get Aiden in the picture)

I love this picture with Joe's umbrella.

We spent a fun day at Hogle Zoo. Carolyn's sister-in-law Julie joined us, which made our total of kids that day 23! It was a little crazy and hot, but we still had a great time. This is some of the kids at the bird show.

"The Boys"

"The Girls"

Grandma Tadje invited us all over one night to swim and eat at her pavilion. Carolyn got the kids together and organized all sorts of games. One of their favorites was Red Rover. The kids could have played for hours!

This is eating lunch with Grandpa Tadje at his rehab hospital. We were very grateful they had an outside pavilion so we weren't too rowdy in the building.

We were able to go up to Boise this past weekend and see Jared and Trina bless their baby Luke and also to see Chris receive the priesthood. It was a wonderful weekend! This is all the Tadje boys after church. With Sarah and Nate's little Aiden we make a perfect 10!

Jared and Trina took us to a lake about an hour from their house and rented a boat. The kids had a great time riding the tube and playing on the beach. The big boys wake boarded and skied.
We love spending time with our family and hope we can do it again soon!

Snowbird

We had a wonderful trip to Snowbird this year. Besides my dad's kidney stones and Erik's dad having heart surgery, it was a great week. We had fun swimming, hiking, playing tennis and just spending time together.

This was our family picture this year. We missed Erik, who went down to be with his dad, and Kate, who is now in Chile. The week sure wasn't the same without her!

All the kids

On Sunday we were able to go down and hear the Tabernacle Choir and the Spoken Word. They had the whole Osmond family there as guests. It was amazing!

Our hike to Catherine's Pass.

Jaxson and Cameron at the top of Cathrine's.

Everyone was so excited to point at the deer. For some reason deer are so fun to find up in the mountains. I'm not a huge fan when they are eating the flowers in my yard!

Dallin on the bungee trampoline.

Jaxson climbing the rock wall.

Cameron riding the Alpine Slide.

The kids made sponge boats to race down the river. They looked really cool, but didn't race so well. It was fun anyway.

The boys on top of the tram.

We can't wait for next year!

Day's of '47 Rodeo

Thanks to Aaron and Samantha, we were able to get tickets to the Day's of '47 Rodeo. We had a great time! The boys especially liked seeing the bull fighters, and watching the clown get hit in the barrel.
Here is our gang, taking up 3 different rows!
